The Dining Room is probably the most formal room in the Zadoc Brewster House. Soft green walls and glossy white woodwork are soothing and elegant. Similar in proportions to the Living Room, with the same high ceilings and tall windows, it is furnished with period English antiques.

The polished oak dining table seats 6 and sets off the fine English china to perfection. The old pine sideboard in one corner and a tiled, marble-topped Victorian washstand in the other make convenient places to serve from.

A fine English dresser displays a selection of china and ornaments, with glassware and table linen in the cupboard below. The only American touches in this room (apart from the room itself of course!) are the Victorian style lamp in the corner and the genuine Victorian oil lamp on the washstand.

This is a perfect room for formal meals and entertaining – you'll probably use the old scrubbed pine table in the Kitchen for more casual dining.
